Effective immediately, Healthnet is requesting medical offices to discuss the importance of Advance Directives with patients. They are requesting that clear documentation is evident in your medical records. Suggestion: Utilize your medical staff and/or MA to clearly identify all Healthnet patients over the age of 18. Incorporate staff in the discussion with the patients and advise staff to document discussion in medical record. Effectively using medical staff will ensure quality patient care and full compliance for physicians without the burden of interrupting workflow.
